Esther Marie is drawn to nature and its cyclical changes.  We, as human beings, are connected to nature through the water, the Earth and the sky that make up our environment.  Her images convey this coexistence as abstracted movements and/or the essence of the environment.

Part of her creative process integrates explorations around NY, Long Island constantly. Being drawn to variety, she researches through exploring, climates and different aspects of space around us.  This continuous search, she expands, gathers, and organizes these experiences.   Esther Marie equates the art process and media by utilizing a multimedia discipline.  Drawing is the immediate means by which she bridges the external world to the sensation of it. Not only to the visual richness of nature, but to the rhythms underlying it.  Each body of work explores different ways in which the landscape transforms and she interprets the essence of it.

Lines are a constant in her work and mark symbolic paths.  The paths in some of her series of art, mark the flow within the cyclical changes in the landscape.  She would describe her artwork as an obscured representation, in that each piece originates as a representational image that develops by manipulating through several different mediums.  These notations form the basis of both her abstract and impressionist creations.
